A young girl named April has just moved to the big city and wants to go exploring, but her Dad is too busy and says there’s no time to daydream, and her new teacher is in too much of a hurry with the whole class and there’s no time to dilly dally. But at the end of the day, when it’s time to play, April and her dog May don’t accept that Dad is too tired. Something mysterious has been calling her all day and awaits within the neighborhood garden. It’s time to stop, breathe, and explore the magic and wonder inside the gate. Plip Plop!
What was that?
Take a moment to stop and explore, and like April, her dog May, and her dad, you just might discover that no matter what kind of day you've had, you will be okay in your home in the tall, tall city. Or wherever you live.
This story shows the importance of taking the time to renew and refill in the quiet and wonder of nature no matter where you find it. And if you take the time to notice, you just might find a surprise like April, May and Dad did. (Hint: it lives in a pond but is not a frog or a fish)

A girl, her dog, and Daddy entering a community garden filled with flowers as big as your face, dragon flies, birds, bees, and layers of greenery. Ahhhh.
