I loved this book! Teddy Bear is adorable! Many children experience hurt feelings when they are teased by other children, and they search for solutions to the problem. Teddy Bear wants to prove he is brave, so he plans a trip. (He takes some cookies along—just like many of us do when we travel!). Also just like many of us, he finds the trip challenging, and he begins to have doubts. Teddy Bear’s solutions to his problems will have you and your child cheering for him!

This is a meaningful story for children and adults because it is a story of empowerment. No wonder the author remembered her mother (Marilyn Van Wagoner) telling it to her when she was a child. Traci Van Wagoner’s illustrations are perfect. The soothing, muted colors make the book especially good for reading as a bedtime story.
